The City of Kutjevo is the Croatian capital of wine and worlds’s capital of graševina (riesling). There is the largest wine cellar in Croatia and a unique square - Trg graševine. The city contains 17 settlements with about 6,200 inhabitants. It can boast with a rich historical heritage, and is best known for its wine production - thanks to specific climatic conditions and preserved multi-century tradition of grape and wine growing, so it has the best possible conditions for making world’s best graševina (riesling). Besides viticulture and winemaking, the agriculture activities are heavily represented. There is a visible trend of rural tourism development in the city.
