Labin is a wonderful mixture of rich historic and Venetian architectural heritage in the old town on the hill above downtown Labin which bears traces of 200 years of coal mining activity. At the same time, Labin is very modern and atractive town which captures its visitors at first sight. Together with nearby Rabac, Labin is today the most important tourist destination on the eastern Istrian coast.

The Town Museum in the old town with its unique model of the coal mine, numerous Venetian palaces and narrow picturesque streets give you a thrilling insight into the history of Labin. Enjoy breathtaking views of Rabac, Cres and surrounding area from Fortica.
